Rise Up To the Challenge

Rise Up To the Challenge

1 Corinthians 16:13 – Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

Let us all rise up to the challenge, let us sore above the heights of the clouds in perfect works and glorify the Creator of the universe. We have an elevated standard that comes from the Creator of love that we need to attain to and reach if desire to be a soldier of Christ and a saint of the Most High God. We serve a God who is perfect in love. 1 John 4:8. And those who are truly serving Him this day will hear and rise up to the challenge of His invitation to all to come into real service for Christ. The true-hearted men and women, who delight to become like little children and want to be learners in the school of Christ, can do a great work for the Master wherever they may be, if they will only give heed to our Commander and Chief, the Source of our faith as it has sounded down along the lines to our time today…, “quit you like men, be strong!”

1 Corinthians 16:13 – Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

Strength only comes by exercise.  All who put to use their God given ability to work for Christ’s kingdom in soul saving and overcoming this world through the power of God, which God has given to us all, will have increased ability to devote to His service regardless of how much time this world may try and take from us. We must find time to dedicate service for the Lord’s purpose. We cannot enter into heaven empty handed. We must have stars on our crowns which show the work we have done for souls in our life time. We must not be found an unfaithful servant who hides his talent and does not labor for the Master and go out in search for the lost house of Israel.

Luke 12:46, 47 – The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for [him], and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.  And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not [himself], neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many [stripes].

Matthew 25:30 – And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Those who do nothing in the cause of God, they will fail as well in growing in grace, in the knowledge of the truth and will not have the wisdom of God established in them to continue to walk after Christ. A man/woman who would lie down, refusing to exercise their limbs would soon lose all their power to use them; and thus, all Christians who will not exercise any of their God-given powers, they will not only fail to grow up into Christ’s righteousness, but they will have not the strength which he already has; they will become spiritually dead, destitute of strength. It is those who, with their love for God and their fellow mankind, are striving to help others in this world to see the light of truth, which will become established, strengthened, settled, in the truth and will never be tossed to and fro by the attacks of Satan and his false doctrines. Only the true and pure in heart, those that have a real love and zeal for God and His kingdom, it is those that are bearing the credentials in service to God that will endure till the end and receive their crown for eternal victory. The true Christian works for God anywhere they can, not from impulse, but from the true principles of God; not for a day or a month, or a moment in time while others are around, but during the entire period of life they are becoming established and settled into the truth.

Many think that by having a form of godliness, sitting around in the truth, doing very little for the world to see Christ is just fine. The day is coming where all will soon pass in review before the King of Righteousness and will fail the final test that is coming to the world to see who they will worship and serve. Failing to serve God is proving we serve Satan. These lost and unfaithful servants who are doing nothing for the Saviour’s kingdom to come in soul saving, truly they feel this world is just a play ground and don’t see that it is a battlefield. They don’t see the seriousness in all this, and how it is our duty as Christians to help everyone come to the knowledge of the truth. We are facing a stupendous crisis as the Mark of the beast is approaching, and many who have the truth are sleeping. In their sleep, they will find they will not make it to eternal life, but they will find themselves being destroyed into eternal sleep.

This battlefield is soon to get worse. Satan is pulling out all he can to deceive if possible the very elect. If we are sleeping then we will fall in the class of the foolish virgins as most professed Christians are falling into this slumber today. We are all called to endure through trials, hardness of tests, persecutions, and what have you; and as good soldiers we are to bear the cross of Christ, which means all that Christ endured through, then we must also endure through.

2 Timothy 3:12 – Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

The only way we are going to stand in the final test, the final fight in the battlefield is by getting close to Christ in our obedience to Him, which is developing perfect faith in Him. Our disobedience to Him is walking away from faith and gathering under Satan’s banner of deception. The more we disobey and don’t care, the more we are falling away from the source of life, and we will not endure the trial of our faith for our time that is coming.

1 Peter 1:7 – That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Let us be strong and quit ourselves like perfect Christian soldiers are to be. Let us also understand and gain this wisdom, let us keep it before our minds; the true test of character is found in our willingness to bear burdens, to take the hard place and not the easy road that leads to eternal death, to do the work that needs to be done, which is our Christian duty. And though it brings no earthly recognition or reward, we press forward to reach all that we are called to aim for and do, completing what we are to eventually finish for our Lord’s soon coming kingdom. Let us all stand up and fight and sound the alarms, blow the trumpets and be a faithful watchman and prove who we profess to be.

Joel 2:2 – Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

Oh, that each one would have a proper estimate on what God has given to each of our capabilities and exercise that which needs to be. In doing so, it will help others see, it will stand with them in the trying time that is standing before us that will be our trial of our faith. It stands at the door and billions are sleeping. The question we need to ask ourselves, what are we doing in the Lord’s vineyard with the truth we have and are called to sound? If we are afraid to work and do our duty, that Christian is going to find them standing in the day of the Lord as an unfaithful servant. It is time to work or be sifted.

Amos 9:9 – For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.

Let us all climb the ladder of progress through Christ’s given power that is supplied for all true Christians, and bring every power under the control of our King. In our own strength we can do nothing; but in the grace of our Saviour who provides all that we need, we can employ our powers in such a way as to bring the greatest good to our own soul and the greatest blessing to the souls of others. Let us all lay hold of Jesus, and we will diligently work the works of Christ in all things. If we do this, we shall work as He worked for the lost sheep, then we will finally receive the eternal reward that is coming to all who are faithful in their lot. Let us remember the promising words of our Lord that He left for us in Revelation 2:10 – “…be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.”
